We’re looking for a SEO Specialist –  an experienced, highly-motivated, and detail-oriented SEO expert to be the go-to for tactical planning, execution, management, analysis, teaching and ongoing optimization of client SEO campaigns/activities. If you are doing this already or have done it for clients for freelance or your own business and are looking for stability, we want to talk to you!


You’ve been doing SEO for at least 2 years and have a strong understanding of how content, link building, site auditing, competitor research and site optimization work together to drive ranking improvements. You’re able to define requirements, tasks and resources required to accomplish an overarching SEO strategy. Your ideas are unconventional, fresh, and smart. You have a hands-on get it done attitude.  Easy to work with, collaborative and a positive attitude are all traits that make you a great asset to your team.

Not Required (but certainly a plus)

  • Link building experience
  • Experience with A/B testing and CRO
  • Understanding of how content and SEO impact the buyer’s journey
  • Experience managing and collaborating with contractors
  • SEM experience
  • Previous agency experience
  • Google Analytics Certification

Location: The SEO Specialist is located in Midtown Atlanta Georgia, however remote positions will be considered.

Compensation: Compensation will be commensurate with experience with a range of $40,000 – $60,000.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2+ years of SEO experience
  • Experience using Google Analytics, MOZ, ahrefs, SEMRush or other Martech tools to assess, audit and report on SEO campaigns
  • Working knowledge of WordPress
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills
  • Ability to collaborate well, but also work independently with minimal supervision
  • A Bachelor’s degree

Job Responsibilities:

  • SEO – You will be responsible for tactical planning, executing and managing SEO campaigns to increase traffic and rankings for our clients. This includes ownership of activities such as content management/optimization, link building/outreach and site auditing/optimization. You’ll perform keyword research in coordination with business objectives to optimize existing content and uncover new ranking opportunities. You’ll provide SEO analysis and auditing (competitor, website, backlink, technical) as well as make recommendations to optimize clients websites. You’ll be the go-to for all things SEO and will contribute to the Narwhal blog.
  • Client Service, Communication & Collaboration – Field tactical and campaign SEO questions, send campaign reporting, lead monthly calls. Collaborate with clients and provide unsurpassed client service.
  • Reporting and Analysis – Provide clients with regular reporting and leverage data to find opportunities or as a diagnostic tool.
  • New Opportunities – Act on relevant opportunities and be able to think outside of the box to present new and interesting opportunities we can present to our clients. Stay up-to-date with SEO trends and tactics.
